Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Makiko Nakamura could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,935.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Makiko Nakamura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sweet Spring Ii, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,063.52).
