This artwork by Maher Raief achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the 20th Century Art/ Middle East auction, the work Egyptian untitled sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,617.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maher Raief; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,198.57).

In der Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East wurde die Arbeit Egyptian untitled für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.617,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Maher Raief; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.198,57).
