Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Storks by Maggie Laubser was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,637.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maggie Laubser have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Girl (Framed) in March this year with an auction result of GBP 151,500.00 (€ 172,360.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Storks von Maggie Laubser wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.637,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maggie Laubser auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Girl (Framed) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 151.500,00 (€ 172.360,51).
