Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work A violin player in an interior with a pewter tankard, jug and platter on a table before a column by Maerten Stoop. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maerten Stoop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Card Game In A Courtyard in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 46,336.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit A violin player in an interior with a pewter tankard, jug and platter on a table before a column von Maerten Stoop zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maerten Stoop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Card Game In A Courtyard im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 46.336,12).
