The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,143.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maerten Fransz. van der Hulst - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Besetzter zweispänniger Pferdewagen überquert eine Holzbrücke, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 34,720.00.

Die Arbeit A River Landscape With Travellers By An Inn And A Herdsman With His Cattle In A Strong Breeze von Maerten Fransz. van der Hulst wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
