In the A Dealer Is Selling Off auction, the work Mountainous landscape sold for EUR 720.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Madeleine Lefebvre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a man; Portrait of a girl, which sold at auction in May 2000 for NLG 4,446.76 (€ 1,941.64).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Madeleine Lefebvre erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Dealer Is Selling Off wurde die Arbeit Mountainous landscape für EUR 720,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 300,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Madeleine Lefebvre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a man; Portrait of a girl beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für NLG 4.446,76 (€ 1.941,64) versteigert wurde.
