Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Irish Free State & Northern Ireland by MacDonald Gill was sold in the Vintage Posters auction at Christies in London in October 2013. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,841.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by MacDonald Gill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peter Pan Map of Kensington Gardens, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,879.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Irish Free State & Northern Ireland von MacDonald Gill wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Vintage Posters bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.841,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von MacDonald Gill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peter Pan Map of Kensington Gardens beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.879,09) versteigert wurde.
