Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Lobster With Still Life by Macario Vitalis. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,650.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Macario Vitalis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,108.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lobster With Still Life von Macario Vitalis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.650,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Macario Vitalis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.108,45) versteigert wurde.
