A top price for Ma Xiaojuan - as previously expected
The work Two Beauties by Ma Xiaojuan was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 105,800.00 (€ 10,892.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two Beauties is the most expensive artwork by Ma Xiaojuan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Two Beauties von Ma Xiaojuan wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 105.800,00 (€ 10.892,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Two Beauties das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ma Xiaojuan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
