Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 37,236.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludwig Schongauer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Annunciation To The Virgin, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 97,250.00 (€ 116,932.17).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 37.236,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
