A top price for Ludwig Krug - as previously expected
In January 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Two nude Women with a Skull and Hourglass by Ludwig Krug. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,779.32), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two nude Women with a Skull and Hourglass is the most expensive artwork by Ludwig Krug that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two nude Women with a Skull and Hourglass von Ludwig Krug zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.779,32) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Two nude Women with a Skull and Hourglass das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ludwig Krug, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
