Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February last year Bonhams in London held the auction 19th and 20th Century Vintage Posters, which included the work Confection Kehl. P.K.Z. by Ludwig Hohlwein. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,383.89), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludwig Hohlwein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zoologischer Garten München, which sold at auction in November 2015 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,584.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th and 20th Century Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Confection Kehl. P.K.Z. von Ludwig Hohlwein zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.383,89) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ludwig Hohlwein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zoologischer Garten München beobachtet, die im November 2015 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.584,83) versteigert wurde.
