Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work German Figures On A Busy Quay Of A Riverside Town by Ludwig Hermann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludwig Hermann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Skaters On A Frozen Waterway; And Boats On A Waterway In A Northern European Town, which sold at auction in January 2013 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,213.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2009 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit German Figures On A Busy Quay Of A Riverside Town von Ludwig Hermann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ludwig Hermann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Skaters On A Frozen Waterway; And Boats On A Waterway In A Northern European Town beobachtet, die im Januar 2013 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.213,49) versteigert wurde.
