Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
When the work Destructionis Hostis Vespa 180° Front View - 2013 by Ludo was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in March 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 501.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at EUR 3,700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Enjoy The Violence, 2012 in February 2014 with an auction result of EUR 50,160.00.

Als die Arbeit Destructionis Hostis Vespa 180° Front View - 2013 von Ludo im März 2017 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 501,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 3.700,00 mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Enjoy The Violence, 2012 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.160,00.
