Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Still Life with Portrait by Lucy Harwood was worth GBP 4,462.50 (€ 4,985.01) to a buyer in December 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lucy Harwood; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Girl with Red Ribbon sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,078.76).
