Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coldwell End, Youlgrave by Lucien Pissarro was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 28,160.00 (€ 32,773.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucien Pissarro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gouvernes, près Lagny in October this year with an auction result of EUR 352,800.00.

Die Arbeit Coldwell End, Youlgrave von Lucien Pissarro wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 28.160,00 (€ 32.773,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucien Pissarro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gouvernes, près Lagny im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 352.800,00.
