In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work April Shower, Chipperfield by Lucien Pissarro. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,850.00 (€ 47,861.44), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lucien Pissarro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gouvernes, près Lagny in October this year with an auction result of EUR 352,800.00.

Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit April Shower, Chipperfield von Lucien Pissarro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.850,00 (€ 47.861,44) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien Pissarro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gouvernes, près Lagny im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 352.800,00.
