Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Christies in London held the auction The Art of Travel, which included the work Air France by Lucien Boucher. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,093.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lucien Boucher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Air France Planisphere in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 10,326.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Art of Travel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Air France von Lucien Boucher zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.093,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien Boucher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Air France Planisphere im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.250,00 (€ 10.326,55).
