Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Dentist by Lucas van Leyden for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,091.42). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas van Leyden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgin and Child with two Angels in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 45,835.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Dentist von Lucas van Leyden für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.091,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas van Leyden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Virgin and Child with two Angels im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 45.835,52).
