In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Lot and his Daughters by Lucas van Leyden. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,182.84), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas van Leyden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgin and Child with two Angels in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 45,835.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lot and his Daughters von Lucas van Leyden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.182,84) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas van Leyden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Virgin and Child with two Angels im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 45.835,52).
