Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Windows III, 2009 by Luc Dratwa was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,933.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luc Dratwa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Only, 2009, which sold at auction in November 2009 for EUR 7,395.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Windows III, 2009 von Luc Dratwa im Dezember 2010 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.933,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Luc Dratwa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Only, 2009 beobachtet, die im November 2009 für EUR 7.395,00 versteigert wurde.
