A top price for Lubin Baugin - as previously expected
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Olindo And Sofronia On The Pyre by Lubin Baugin. The price achieved of USD 322,000.00 (€ 297,267.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Olindo And Sofronia On The Pyre is the most expensive artwork by Lubin Baugin that we have observed at auctions so far.
