The work Chrysanthemum by Lu Shibai was sold in the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,803.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Lu Shibai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nandina and Still Life in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 1,207,500.00 (€ 119,729.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von Lu Shibai wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.803,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lu Shibai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nandina and Still Life im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.207.500,00 (€ 119.729,05).
