The work Drunken Zhong Kui by Lu Chen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 27,901.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Lu Chen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Li Bai in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,000.00 (€ 124,069.91).

Die Arbeit Drunken Zhong Kui von Lu Chen wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 27.901,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lu Chen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Li Bai im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.000,00 (€ 124.069,91).
