Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Fresh Fish Market by Lovemore Kambudzi. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,466.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lovemore Kambudzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Need for Peace Through Unity in Diversity in October last year with an auction result of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,018.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fresh Fish Market von Lovemore Kambudzi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.466,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lovemore Kambudzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Need for Peace Through Unity in Diversity im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.018,29).
