This artwork by Louisa Matthiasdottir achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2014. In the Interiors auction, the work Icelandic landscape with sheep sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,135.92) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louisa Matthiasdottir - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three Sheep, which sold at auction in June 2017 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,340.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louisa Matthiasdottir erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Interiors wurde die Arbeit Icelandic landscape with sheep für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.135,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louisa Matthiasdottir mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three Sheep beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.340,20) versteigert wurde.
