Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Curtis to Berenice Abbott auction at Bonhams in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,295.00 (€ 2,164.69). Admittedly, works by Louis Stettner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urss in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Great White Way, Times Square at Night, New York von Louis Stettner wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.295,00 (€ 2.164,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Stettner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urss im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
