Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Penn Station (View through a subway window) and Penn Station 2 by Louis Stettner was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 1,785.00 (€ 1,773.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Stettner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urss in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Penn Station (View through a subway window) and Penn Station 2 von Louis Stettner kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.785,00 (€ 1.773,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Stettner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urss im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
