Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott, which included the work Brooklyn Promenade by Louis Stettner. The price achieved of USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,284.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Stettner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urss in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brooklyn Promenade von Louis Stettner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.422,50 (€ 2.284,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Stettner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urss im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
