Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art, which included the work The Dreamer by Louis Marie de Schryver. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,456.49), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Marie de Schryver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rue Royale, Paris in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 662,500.00 (€ 500,793.71).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dreamer von Louis Marie de Schryver zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.456,49) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Marie de Schryver erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rue Royale, Paris im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 662.500,00 (€ 500.793,71).
