The »bidding war« ended at USD 242,500.00 (€ 168,683.92), 62% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Marie de Schryver - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rue Royale, Paris, which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 662,500.00 (€ 500,793.71).

Die Arbeit French un Marché Au Xviiiè Siècle von Louis Marie de Schryver wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including an Important Collection of Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 168.683,92) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Marie de Schryver mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rue Royale, Paris beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 662.500,00 (€ 500.793,71) versteigert wurde.
