Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French bath Day by Louis Marie de Schryver was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,766.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Marie de Schryver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rue Royale, Paris in April 2012 with an auction result of USD 662,500.00 (€ 500,793.71).
