Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis Majorelle could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery on Sunset auction, the work Petite Buffet changed hands for USD 588.80 (€ 539.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Majorelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Aux Orchidées' Desk And Chair in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 180,975.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Majorelle konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery on Sunset wechselte die Arbeit Petite Buffet für USD 588,80 (€ 539,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Majorelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Aux Orchidées' Desk And Chair im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 180.975,11).
