Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Study of a reclining female nude by Louis Léopold Boilly for USD 3,150.00 (€ 2,753.02). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Léopold Boilly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The entrance to the Turkish Garden Café in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,562,500.00 (€ 3,289,473.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
