Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elegant company picnicking in the wood by Louis Lafitte was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in October 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 466.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Lafitte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Projet D'Ostensoir, Probablement Pour Le Sacre De Charles X in April 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,196.00.

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 312,00 (€ 466,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
