In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Scene Of A Traditional Chinese Town sold for HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,691.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis-Jules Dumoulin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Frenchpreperation For 14 Juillet Celebrations, Place De La Bastille, Paris, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,299.86).
