Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work Portrait Of Marie Louise Petit, At The Age Of 105, With A Nurse Standing Behind by Louis Carrogis. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,998.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Carrogis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Gentils hommes Du Duc D’Orléans Dans L’Habit De Saint-Cloud in September 2015 with an auction result of EUR 531,000.00.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.998,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Carrogis erzielen.
