Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Seine à Croisy by Louis Cabat was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in London in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,409.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Cabat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Etude de ciel au couchant, which sold at auction in March this year for EUR 11,808.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Seine à Croisy von Louis Cabat wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.409,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Cabat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Etude de ciel au couchant beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für EUR 11.808,00 versteigert wurde.
