Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work View Of The Cascades At Tivoli With Fishermen And Tourists by Louis Bélanger for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,570.70). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Bélanger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Utsikt över staden från Djurgårdslandet" (View over Stockholm from Djurgårdslandet) in June 2014 with an auction result of SEK 460,000.00 (€ 50,233.75).
