Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction A Life of Discovery: Works from The Allan Stone Collection | Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Lollipops (Big Suckers) by Lorraine Shemesh. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,836.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorraine Shemesh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Backfloat in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 50,933.15).
