Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A French landscape with a woman, a child and a dog by Lorenz Frølich was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 10,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 938.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorenz Frølich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of An African Man in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,810.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A French landscape with a woman, a child and a dog von Lorenz Frølich im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 10.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 938,84) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorenz Frølich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of An African Man im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.810,11).
