A top price for Louis Joseph Digout - as previously expected
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction AXEL VERVOORDT, ANTWERP, which included the work Portrait Of A Woman by Louis Joseph Digout. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 334.60 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait Of A Woman is the most expensive artwork by Louis Joseph Digout that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion AXEL VERVOORDT, ANTWERP durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Woman von Louis Joseph Digout zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 334,60 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Portrait Of A Woman das teuerste Kunstwerk von Louis Joseph Digout, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
