Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Kangaroo) by Lofty Bardayal Nadjamerrek was sold in the The Serra Collection of Aboriginal Art including property from various vendors auction at Bonhams in Sydney in July 2020. The price achieved of AUD 4,880.00 (€ 4,144.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lofty Bardayal Nadjamerrek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mardayin Ceremony, c.1978, which sold at auction in November 2019 for AUD 15,860.00 (€ 14,393.32).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.880,00 (€ 4.144,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
