The work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Liu Yong was worth HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,607.25) to a buyer in August this year. This price was achieved in the auction Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 672,000.00 (€ 686,243.48).

Die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Liu Yong war einem Käufer im August diesen Jahres HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.607,25) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 672.000,00 (€ 686.243,48).
