The work Running Script Calligraphic Couplet by Liu Yong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 94,500.00 (€ 10,934.73), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 672,000.00 (€ 686,243.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphic Couplet von Liu Yong wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 10.934,73) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 672.000,00 (€ 686.243,48).
