In October this year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Liu Yong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 840,000.00 (€ 101,582.13), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 672,000.00 (€ 686,243.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Liu Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 101.582,13) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 672.000,00 (€ 686.243,48).
