Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Liu Ye was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 230,400.00 (€ 27,615.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Ye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smoke in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 52,182,000.00 (€ 5,964,325.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Liu Ye kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 230.400,00 (€ 27.615,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Ye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Smoke im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 52.182.000,00 (€ 5.964.325,41).
