In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Seven-Character Poem In Cursive Script by Liu Ruozai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,688.67), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Liu Ruozai have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,153.11) in May 2019 for the work Seven-Character Poem In Cursive Script.
