Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ink Lotus by Liu Haisu was auctioned at POLY in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 18,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 21,600.00 (€ 3,318.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Haisu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak in September 2018 with an auction result of HKD 4,720,000.00 (€ 519,435.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ink Lotus von Liu Haisu kam im Januar 2024 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 18.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 21.600,00 (€ 3.318,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Haisu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Huangshan Mountain, Peach Blossom Peak im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.720.000,00 (€ 519.435,55).
