Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Avalokiteshvara by Liu Dan was sold in the Contemporary Ink Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 206,562.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Dan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poppy, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 6,920,000.00 (€ 779,641.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Avalokiteshvara von Liu Dan wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 206.562,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Dan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poppy beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 6.920.000,00 (€ 779.641,64) versteigert wurde.
